About

Our Pastor

Robert Herber

Robert’s life was turned upside down when he met an ordinary college student who shined with the love of Jesus at Baylor University. After learning he could have this same kind of real, everyday relationship with God, it led him into the adventure of a lifetime.

Robert pursued Biblical studies and the Ancient Greek language through a Religion major at Baylor. After graduating he attended Antioch Training School. There he met his wife, Stefanie. They fell in love on an extended mission trip to Turkey. Robert pastored in Waco, TX for almost ten years as both the college pastor and the US Church Planting Director for Antioch Community Church.

In late 2007, Robert, Stef and a small team of friends moved to San Diego to plant All Peoples Church. When they planted the church they did not know anyone in San Diego.
By God’s grace, the small group of students that began meeting in their house has now grown and turned into a thriving, multi-ethnic church. Over the past decade and a half, All Peoples Church has seen many lives transformed. Always active in the community, the church has mentored students, given to the poor, taught on healthy marriage and parenting, and trained people how to follow Jesus in the everyday lives. The church has now planted a series of churches domestically and abroad. Today, All Peoples has become a global movement and family of churches that is making disciples around the world.

Where We Are

Imagine a community where people from many different backgrounds and cultures are together with one heart and one mind, enjoying the favor of God. That is who we are and who we are becoming at All Peoples Church.

We are a vibrant and hope-filled community of 55 nations and 5 generations on mission for Jesus together. Located at 8262 Allison Ave in the heart of La Mesa, our purpose is transforming lives to bless San Diego, planting churches to transform nations.

Where We Come From

All Peoples Church is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-generational community in San Diego, founded in 2008. We strive to unite people from diverse backgrounds to seek God’s favor and expand His kingdom globally through church planting. In 2022, our parent organization, the Antioch Movement of Churches, officially birthed and blessed All Peoples Church to be its own distinct church-planting movement.

We believe God is leading us to empower leaders worldwide to bless their cities and transform nations. Jesus offers an abundant, world-changing life—one filled with grace and truth, even in the face of struggles. At All Peoples Church, our mission is to exalt Jesus and guide people toward the meaningful life He’s calling them to live.

Where We’re Going

We are currently gathering for worship at 8262 Allison Ave in La Mesa, but we won't be there forever! In 2018, we started our new building plan called The Light Project. The Light Project is a spiritual journey that our church undertook to become a light to the city, the nations, and generations. The project involves the construction of a worship facility on our church-owned 6-acre property at the intersection of Highway 8 and College Avenue.

After years of public engagement and processing of our development application, The Light Project was denied on a split vote by the San Diego City Council.  Our Church leadership believes the decision to deny was inappropriate and  discriminatory against us as a religious institution.

As a result, we have decided to take legal action to seek a fair redress of our request to build a home for our congregation on this property we own at 5555 College Avenue. This action was taken after careful consideration, in depth discussions with legal experts, and much prayer.
