10/9-11 – PRAYER & FASTING

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

We have been given an amazing opportunity to join with Antioch, our larger church family, in a 3-day corporate fast and prayer. The purpose of this time is to call out to God, together in one voice, for a move of God to sweep across our nation. With so much unrest, turmoil and pain in our nation, Jesus is the only answer, and believe that He has given us the power to be His hands and feet in seeing people transformed, healed and refreshed by hope.

We also believe that while we can have the best plans, structures and systems in place, prayer is the power that’s going to allow us to impact society and see a move of God like we’ve never seen before! So join with us from October 9th-11th as we seek God together!

The time of fast and prayer will culminate in our church wide prayer night, taking place at 6:30PM on Wednesday, October 11th, in our worship center.

The evening will take the place of our monthly Friday Worship & Prayer Night.

Types of Fasts:
Full fast – abstinence from food so that your only intake is liquids including, fruit and vegetable juices.
Partial fast – restriction in diet, as opposed to complete abstinence.
A modified fast – Also known as a “Daniel fast”, (the Daniel fast eliminated meat, bread, and sweets), this kind of fast eliminates certain food that are daily part of your diet.

Why do we fast?
Fasting is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us for our daily lives. Through personal and corporate fasting, churches and individuals can become more sensitive to God’s voice, build a more intimate relationship with Jesus, experience direction and clarity, healing, release from the bondage of sin, restoration, financial blessings, and so much more!
