DESERT DAYS YOUTH CAMP SCHEDULE & INFO

We are so excited for our upcoming Desert Days Youth Camp experience, taking place from July 26-30! If you are a student or the parent of a student, we have helpful details about times, locations and the structure of the camp below for you to note.

Drop-Off:
When: Wednesday, July 26th
Time: 1:15pm
Where: 5555 University Ave, 92105 (church office) – we request that you park in the Burlington Coat Factory lot.

Collection:
When: Sunday, July 30th
Time: 12:30PM
Where: Students will attend both the 9 & 11AM All Peoples Church service at San Diego State University (Aztec Student Union).

What to bring:
– Bible/Journal/Pen
– GUYS ONLY: Pillow & Sleeping bag/blankets (Guys will be inside a lodge with beds but will need to bring their own bedding)
– Flash light or headlamp (optional)
– Sun block
– Hat/sunglasses for outdoors
– 2 towels (for recreation & showering)
– Soap & shampoo for showering
– Deodorant, Toothbrush & Toothpaste
– Comfortable clothes
– Recreation clothes
– Swim suit or clothing to get wet in (GIRLS: one piece only)
– Neon or Black accessories for TRIBAL WARS (We will provide more info later)
– Clothes to sleep in

Emergency Info: A nurse will be on-site for the duration of the camp.
Please contact Joel Sanders at 619-822-6178 in the case of an emergency. Students’ cell phone usage during the camp will be restricted but students may contact their parents daily during ‘Free Time” (3-6PM) on the camp’s phone line.

Money & Shopping: Your child will not need any cash for purchasing material. Desert Days is an all-inclusive camp.

Dietary Needs: We are concerned about your child’s health and will gladly work with you, if able, regarding dietary restrictions. Please contact us with any dietary needs your child may have.

Medications: Medications brought must be in the original packaging with a label displaying the child’s name. If your child requires a rescue inhaler or an EPI pen, please be sure that they are packed and available. Your child’s camp room leader will need to have access to these in the event of an emergency.

Safety: Please also be assured that your child’s safety and wellness is of the utmost importance to our staff. Every adult staff member will be background checked and trained prior to camp and campers will never be alone in a private situation with an adult.
